Fatigue is not a disorder but can be a symptom of a disorder. Most disorders are associated with fatigue. Fatigue that is characterized lack of energy may be caused by any underlying illness, boredom or depression. Persistent fatigue can also be cause by nutritional deficiencies. A combination of high-fat and high refined carbohydrate diet and emotional stress can also cause fatigue. Some of the symptoms
may include aching muyscles and joints, anxiety, depression, difficulty concentrating, poor memory, fever, headaches, low blood pressure, intestinal roblems and pain, irritability, enviromental sensitivity, jaundice, loss of appetite, mood swings, muscle cramps, sleep distrubances and many more. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is not fully understood. Some people recover spontaneously, but once you have had this condition it can recrur at anytime. It usually occurs after following a bout with another sickness or illness or during time of stress. Stress is somtimes the major cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Usually if you keep your Immune System operating properly then you can overcome any type of sickness or illness.
Echinacea: Enhances the immune function and is food for cold and fluy symptoms.
Astragalus, protects the immune system, produces spontaneous sweating, promotes healing and provides energy to combat fatigue and prolonged stress, Increases staminia. Caution: Do not use Astragalus in the presence of fever.
Burdock Root: Acts as an antioxidant protects against cancer purfies the blood, relieves gout,
Skullcap: Aids sleep, circulation and strengthens the heart muscle. Good for anxiety, fatigue, cardiovascular disese, headache, nervous disorders and rheumatism.
Milk Thistle Powder: Protects the liver and helps rebuild new cells,
Peppermint, For flavor and soothing the stomach.
Recommendations: Include more fresh fruits and veggies, grains, seeds, and nuts in your diet. Get regular exercise and rest. If you are overweight, try to reduce your weight to normal. Dont's: Avoid energy-robbers like sugar, alcohol, fats, caffeine, white flour products and highly processed foods. Eat less red meat and more fish (white fish). Try fasting. See my Tea for fasting. Try to fast at least once a month. If fatigue persists you should contact your health care provider.
Directions: Use 1 teabag per cup of water, place glass container into microwave and let cook for 3 minutes. (Never use Teflon or aluminum, it is believed to cause Alzheimer's disease). Let steep for 4-5 minutes, if using bulk tea strain thru strainer or paper towel. Also you can use coffee maker, it takes a little longer but does a good job extracting the properties from the tea. I personally like the strainer because you get some of the small sediments, which are full of medicinal properties. Garnish with lemon, honey or whatever you like. I use Stevia (All natural sweetner) it works well (Diabetics can also use Splenda or Stevia). Note: After drinking this detoxifying tea you will probably notice that your sweat will smell stronger, your stools sometimes are darker, and also your urine, don’t be alarmed this is normal. This only lets you know that it is working well. Enjoy your tea and also the cleansing of your body.
